1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ClocksNest (com.ss.ClocksNest on Google Play) handles information. ClocksNest is a standalone time-tools app: no sign-in or account is required. Stopwatch, timers, world clocks, and chess timer data stay on your device unless you choose to share (e.g. stopwatch laps).
2. Data on your device
- Clock sessions: Stopwatch laps, timer presets, multi-timer state, chess timer settings, pinned world-clock zones, custom time zones, sound/vibration preferences, and theme are stored locally (AsyncStorage).
- Notifications: When you start a timer, the app may schedule a local notification for when it finishes. Notification permission is requested when needed. We do not upload timer labels or schedules to our servers.
- Widgets: Android home-screen widgets read timer/world-clock summary data from local app storage only.
- No cloud backup of your clock sessions.
3. Data we may collect over the network
- Firebase Firestore (appConfig/main): Optional remote config — app version, Play Store link, ad settings, privacy/terms URLs, maintenance messages. No clock user data.
- OurApps listings: Curated links to other apps from Firestore when you open “More from us”.
- Google AdMob: Banner, native, interstitial, rewarded interstitial, and app-open ads may use device identifiers per Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Anonymous screen views and crash reports.
- Device telemetry: With anonymous Firebase Auth, we may store a hashed device id with app version, locale, screen size, and open timestamps — not your timer content.
4. Permissions
- INTERNET — ads, remote config, analytics.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS / VIBRATE — timer alerts and chess low-time feedback.
- Exact alarms (Android) — reliable timer notifications when granted.
We do not request location, camera, microphone, or contacts for world clocks (time zones use preset IANA names and device locale).
5. Your choices
Disable sound or vibration in Menu → Settings. Deny notification permission to skip background timer alerts (foreground alerts may still appear while the app is open). Clear app storage or uninstall to remove all local data.
